Rowdy protesters gather in CBD to spread anti-vax message - Today News Post News Today || Headlines Today

Protesters have returned to Perth’s CBD to march against COVID-19 vaccines and mandates – urging people to “wake up” and take down the government. More than 5000 people, including families who brought young children and babies, gathered in 40C heat at Forrest Chase on Saturday afternoon. Some carried signs that referred to the vaccine as a “bio weapon”, while others held placards of Premier Mark McGowan pictured as former Chinese communist leader Mao, and Nazi leader Hitler. Failed political candidate DJ Aaron Malloy was among the speakers at the rally and urged the crowd to keep fighting the government. Mr Malloy, who often MC’s the protests, rallied against the Family Court as part of his unsuccessful campaign, and at one point turned up as court dressed as a woman – claiming the system discriminated against men. He has also previously claimed on social media that most allegations of domestic violence relating to restraining orders are “false”, labelling it as a “fake domestic violence industry”.

It was one of a number of protests across Australia’s capital cities and regional centres including Broome, Newcastle, Cairns and Mt Gambier as part of a so-called “worldwide rally for freedom”.

In Melbourne swastika signs and an effigy of a schoolgirl in a coffin with a vaccine in her arm were on show as thousands of protesters rallied against COVID lockdowns and vaccines.
